A message to IE 6.0 hard core users: AKA IE 7.0 non-compliance

Upgrade to Internet Explorer 7.0 NOW!  The message is more on directive rather than request.  In fact wired.com reported that Norwegian websites declared war to these IE 6.0 fanatics.

Several large websites in Norway have launched an advocacy campaign urging Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 users to upgrade their outdated web browsers.

Leading the charge is Finn.no, an eBay-like site that is apparently the largest site for buying and selling goods in all of Norway (Finn is Norwegian for “Find”). Earlier this week, Finn.no posted a warning on its web page for visitors running IE 6. The banner, seen at right, urges them to ditch IE 6 and upgrade to Internet Explorer 7.

Dec 5, 07 : Late Night Hot Topic

The News came to my attention.

“… the adrenaline flowing, people screaming, people running, sirens weeping, gun bursting, bullets flying, 911, blood, chaos, injuries and deaths ” the list of words describing what happened” – – the complete ingredients of a hot topic by ultimoadios.

Where did it happen? Nebraska. I happened to know someone from there!

What a reading!

Setting: Washington DC –The White house, November 2007.
The story started with the name Fran Tonwnsend. Her profile goes this way, she was President Bush j.r’s leading White House-based terrorism adviser, a spokesperson, confidant. Accordingly, Fran Townsend did some high profile press conferences, not as high as Karl Rove (ex-Adviser) or Donald Rumsfeld (ex-Defense Secretary) or Alberto Gonzales (ex-Justice man) because frankly the name Fran Townsend didn’t ring a bell to me, not until today. The story ended, like this, ” she too like the others had resigned as the white house terrorism adviser.”

As the leak involving CIA-operative Valerie Plame was fading out in my memory, here comes the Scott McClellan’s book soon to be released, which I found the excerpts interesting, here is what Scott has to say:

“I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest-ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice president, the president’s chief of staff and the president himself.”

Well, that is just a teaser – a good one, a very effective marketing tool because it stir emotions, create controversy, open old wounds and e.t.c.
