A message to IE 6.0 hard core users: AKA IE 7.0 non-compliance

Upgrade to Internet Explorer 7.0 NOW!  The message is more on directive rather than request.  In fact wired.com reported that Norwegian websites declared war to these IE 6.0 fanatics.

Several large websites in Norway have launched an advocacy campaign urging Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 users to upgrade their outdated web browsers.

Leading the charge is Finn.no, an eBay-like site that is apparently the largest site for buying and selling goods in all of Norway (Finn is Norwegian for “Find”). Earlier this week, Finn.no posted a warning on its web page for visitors running IE 6. The banner, seen at right, urges them to ditch IE 6 and upgrade to Internet Explorer 7.

In December we started Education for Human Greatness as a means of changing the discourse over education in this country. We began with 10 people, and our group now exceeds 200. Members range from Emeritus Professors, to Noble Peace Prize Nominees, to classroom teachers working to make a difference despite overwhelming odds.

I want to share a few stories with you, followed by a number of websites that we hope you will visit and take 5 minutes to fill out petitions in support of various causes.

The eLearning place to be: lets get this party started

I’ve been following this blog for a while now and it is time to acknowledge its relevance to what lies ahead.

I like what I read in that blog. There are concepts that are really important to know  and helpful because most are focused on users’ LMS  experiences/cases/scenarios. Most of all, the blogger really knows what he is talking about – a great resource when implementing LMS – consider it a guide.

Of course, LMS does not exist just a concept – it needs a platform. I should have chosen ATutor the Blackboard’s “best friend” but Moodle it is – plain and simple without further explanation.
