Blog About ETS

The beauty of blogging is that I can now keep my mouth shut in a conversation. I learnedets.png to listen and just mentally took notes on important points.

Not long ago without a blog, I loved to open my mouth and sometimes the proofs for my argument were the typical “on top of my head” kind of proof. But with blogging the information is backed up and supported with the links where I don’t even have to explain anything.

The link will explain what I wanted to share. So here is the memo to the fields from THE STATE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT / THE UNIVERSITY OF THE NEW YORK / ALBANY, NY 1223.

Date: June 9, 2006
To: Deans and Directors of New York State Teacher Education Programs
District Superintendents
BOCES Superintendents
From: Joseph P. Frey,
Assistant Commissioner
Office of Quality Assurance

Robert G. Bentley,
Executive Director
Professional Licensing and Teacher Certification

Subject: Educational Technology Specialists Feedback from the field indicates that the role of individuals certified as Educational Technology Specialists may be unclear. We write to clarify the status of these certified teachers.

Read the entire memo.

The promise is, “pass the Educational Technology Specialist Certification Exam and you can teach anywhere in the State of New York!”
