Joomla! forum was back but then

I am not really sure when the Joomla! forum came back but when it did I received the message below.

General Error

SQL ERROR [mysql4]
Too many connections [1040]
An sql error occurred while fetching this page.Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

phpbbjoomla.jpg

And…oh! Joomla! is now using PHPBB. So bye bye Simple Machines LLC (SMF). I wonder why change? For sure I can read this in the Joomla forum when this connection error is fixed.

Another Joomla! Flash embedded code:The Header!

Fresh from the Joomla! forum entitled, Using Flash Banner with Joomla. Need Help ASAP by wasexton

Even though the title says, Flash banner with Joomla! but as the code suggests it is more on “Using SWF in your Joomla! Header” kind of thing. Please review the code below:

<?php

if ( $_REQUEST[‘option’] == “com_frontpage” )
{
?>
<object type=”application/x-shockwave-flash”
data=”<?php echo $mosConfig_live_site;?>/templates/your_template/images/Banner.swf”
width=”778″ height=”145″>
<param name=”movie”
value=”<?php echo $mosConfig_live_site;?>/templates/your_template/images/Banner.swf” />
<img src=”<?php echo $mosConfig_live_site;?>/templates/your_template/images/Banner.jpg”
width=”778″ height=”145″ alt=”Banner Name” />
</object>
<?php
}
else
{
?>
<img src=”<?php echo $mosConfig_live_site;?>/templates/your_template/images/Banner.jpg” width=”778″>
<?php
}
?>

Note: The code stated above is embedded in the index.php located inside the name_of_template directory.

Results:

Some say, “the code didn’t help” and some say, “it works!”

Me?

A moving thing in my website header is not a bad idea. But not an option at this moment, maybe someday.

Header Using Flash Movie

joomla_logo1.pngThere is one sample I could suggest on how to put Flash movie in Joomla! at the header.

The sample of this trick is at the Joomla forum. Based on the look and feel of the website where the trick has been implemented, it is using Joomla 1.0.XX and the default template rhuk_solarflare_ii.

Here is the link: http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,253023.msg1155374.html#msg1155374

I never tried the trick but I guess it would work.

Security Hole(POC) Joomla! 1.0.13

Joomla! 1.0.13On October 13, 2007, a Joomla user by the nick xiam started a thread at the Joomla! forum and posted his discovery about a hole in Joomla 1.0.13. He claimed to have POC (Proof of Concept) and had tested it.

The hole xiam had discovered from my point of view is a serious one I supposed, because according to him, “he was able to create a new user with administrator rights via a secret passage.” You can read this thread @: http://forum.joomla.org/index.php?topic=222686.msg1041104#new.

Multi-Page Content Items: The Question

The question on How to create Multi-Page Content Items is based on what I found at the Joomla! Forum, under Administration 1.0.x, in this thread titled, “How to create multi-page items” by badboy, which AdamChambers posted a similar and a much clearer question saying, I had the same problem, How do you rename the titles in the table?

e.g. Article Index
